This programme is to provide students with knowledge to performance on electronic circuits and to identify the faults on electronic circuits using visual inspection and simple tests.
Sketch a circuit diagram (to include d.c. power supply connections) of a common emitter amplifier utilising an NPN transistor, a base bias resistor and a collector load resistor.
Observe the effect on voltage gain of varying the input frequency to an amplifier.
Construct and test the operation of the following circuits:
Construct and test simple operational amplifier circuits.
Compare calculated and measured values of voltage gain for inverting and non-inverting amplifiers.
Construct and test a timing circuit using a 555 timer which will operate a 12V relay.
